Short Story

This place is sparse. It holds an uneasy feeling through its gravitational pull. The dense blackness with the backdrop of glittering dead lights make me queasy. I follow nothing but an instinct and the squelch of sand beneath my feet over the dunes to the horizon. The light of the stars bounce closer and closer, lighting the way to more darkness and a door that shudders like a mirage. A door?. What is this door? Why is there a door? I draw closer and and begin to see the sand reform back to the stars and the stars back to sand. I push, no fuck it’s a pull to open….. A land beyond.
